Hmm.. I haven't heard of most of these. But by the titles I'm guessing you like, more serious movies?

A majority of his top twenty-five favorite movies seem to be older films. Because of that, I'm surprised to not see 12 Angry Men on there.

Not really. Lol. It just seems to fit in with his taste in movies, guessing from that list alone.

I like whatever's good. It just turns out that I've seen more great "serious" movies than other.

Though I do harbor a great love for anything Chaplin, Keaton, or Sturges.

Not really 12 Angry Men is sort of like a filmed play. It's exciting, thrilling, tense, and so on, but it's just not very cinematic. I'd give it a strong 8/10.

Few good movies on that list, not bad.
