I loved it, and Kathy Bates was pretty creepy. |

Not as good as the book but still one of my favorite King adaptions. The acting is phenomenal. The only criticism I have with it is the score, which wreaks a b-movie tone.

When the word 'Misery' first appears on the screen, the music doesn't at all evoke the mood that the word usually brings about, so I have to agree with you there.
I don't know why, but I like Annie Wilkes...

I actually think that the song playing during the opening credits is pretty good. One of my favorite parts of the movie is seeing the word "Misery" pop up with a joyous and lively tune playing in the background. But, the regular film score is pretty lame IMO.
I definitely understand where you're coming from about Annie Wilkes. She was just so blatantly naive and insane that it's easy to feel sorry for her. |

It was the way she acted after she'd finished being scary, too.
